Tour Bus Operator:
Big Bus is currently looking for friendly, professional, well organized individuals to conduct tours and assisting in general tourism information. These people must be self motivated and are interested in customer service and safety. A class 2 license with Air Brakes is necessary to operate the vehicles in Big Bus's fleet.
Job Description:
- Maintain tour schedule
- Maintain bus appearance
- Able to learn the tour route, all bus stops and control commentary
- Observe all by-laws and rules of the road
- Sell tickets and packages using a point of sale machine accepting Cash and Credit
- Develop instant relationship with people
- Be the face and image of Big Bus to the general public

Qualifications are as follows:
- Must have current class 2 with air license
- Clean drivers abstract

Customer Service Representative & Sales Agent:
We are currently looking for enthusiastic, dynamic personalities to join the Big Bus, West Coast and Pink Bus team and a Customer Service Representative! These people should enjoy working as a team, not afraid to talk to anyone, and be comfortable with monetary transactions. This is a high paced position that involves sales, problem solving and customer interactions.
Job Description:
- Greeting guests at key street locations
- Develop instant relationship with people
- Be the face and image of Big Bus to the general public
- Have a full understanding of all the company products
- Resolve concerns and assist with general tourism information
- Use Sales techniques to effectively sell Big Bus and other tourism products
- Sell tours, tickets and packages using a point of sales machine accepting cash and credit
- Develop supporting role to drivers and working as a team
- Attend staff meeting and parties
Skills Required:

Live Guide:
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and outgoing personalities who enjoy teaching tourists about Vancouver in a fun, interesting and unique way! The Live Guide is the face and image of the company and is responsible for communicatiing the commentary with enthusiasm, selling tours, and providing general tourism information; therefore the position requires a self motivated individual with strong communication, organizational and team work skills who enjoys the customer service/ tourism industry.

Heavy Duty Mechanic
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Heavy Duty Mechanic - Class 2 or 5 Driver's License with air endorsement and clean driver's abstract - Basic computer skills / knowledge - Experience with Buses - Able to work weekends and/or evenings
THE POSITION:
Centrally located in Burnaby, you will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis and repairs to our diverse bus fleet . The successful candidate will be responsible for all day to day fleet maintenance requirements.
Responsibilities include: • Perform preventative maintenance on buses • Knowledge of electrical & maintenance • Diagnose and repair all types of equipment • Complete work orders and equipment log books accurately • Source parts and supplies • Work individually as well as in a team environment

Controller - Supervisor:
The controller's role is largely a supervisory one. The controller is responsible for the management and coordination of the sales effort and customer service of the Big Bus team as well as controlling the fleet of buses. The position requires one who can think on their feet; making key decisions and with the ability to multitask effectively.
Job description:
- Control the bus fleet making key decisions to stay on schedule
- Sell tickets and packages outside our Gastown location
- Organize daily street sales agents and supervise their progress
- Handle customer concerns and resolve possible problems
- Assist in the training of sales agents and constant communication
- Reporting directly to Operations Manager and streamline effectiveness
- Assist in organizing staff meetings and parties
Skills Required:
- Exceptional at multitasking, leadership and communication
- Hard worker who is prepared to "own the position"
- Bold but not overbearing
- Exceptional selling track record
- Experience in working with staff supervisory role preferred
- Multi-lingual capabilities an asset
- Fluent in English
- Bus Driver - Class 2 license an asset
- Able to make quick decisions during high stress situations, and maintain composure
- Willing to learn and listen
- Happy and trustworthy
