New Heights of Excitement

Located only minutes from downtown Vancouver in the midst of the West Coast rainforest, the Suspension Bridge is easy to access and makes an amazingly memorable trip. The original Capilano Suspension Bridge was built by a City of Vancouver Parks Commissioner, Grant Mackay, in 1889. His ideas have been innovatively maintained and continue to inspire visitors and locals to return year after year.

One of the newest attractions at the Capilano Suspension Bridge is the Treetop Adventure. Visitors can venture from tree to tree along suspended walkways and take in a bird's eye view of the forest from numerous lookout platforms towering as high as 100 feet in the air! The system is completely innovative and environmentally friendly enabling the platforms and bridges to be hung by cables instead of causing damage to the Douglas fir trees - many of them hundreds of years old.
